How Long Will My Case Take before I Get Paid?

A lot of people want to know – and it’s understandable – how long is it going to take before I get paid in my personal injury case? The answer is it depends. It depends on the severity of your injuries. It depends on whether there’s an issue of who’s at fault in the case. It depends on lots of other factors.

What I always tell my clients is that I know it’s important to you of when you get paid, but to me it’s important, what’s important to me is the amount that you get paid. You’ll see a lot of people on TV saying we’re going to get you a settlement check fast, or we’ll turn a wreck into a check, or other various jingles that you hear. That’s not what our firm is about. We are about getting you the most money possible. If we can do that quickly then we will certainly do that. But if it takes a little bit longer, we hope that you’ll understand that it’s worth it.

The last thing in the world you want to do in an injury case is accept the first offer and not realize the extent of your injuries and how long you’ve been hurt. We certainly don’t want to settle a case for somebody and have them call us back in two or three months and say, “Hey, I’m still in pain or things have gotten worse. What can we do?” because the answer is “Nothing,” at that point.

If you hire us, we will work as hard as we can, as fast as we can, on your behalf and we hope you’ll understand that that may not always mean that you get a quick settlement.
